67 More Attorneys Suspended for Failure to Register

The Supreme Court of Ohio has suspended the Ohio law licenses of 67 additional attorneys who failed to register with the Supreme Court for the biennium that began Sept. 1, 2011, and ends Aug. 31, 2013.

227 Attorneys Have Ohio Law License Suspended for Failing to Register with Supreme Court

The Supreme Court of Ohio suspended the Ohio law license of 227 attorneys who failed to register with the Supreme Court for the biennium that began Sept. 1, 2011, and ends Aug. 31, 2013. The suspended attorneys were notified in July and again in October of the registration deadline.

One provision in the newly adopted Ohio House Bill 86 creates an Interagency Task Force on Mental Health and Juvenile Justice. Supreme Court Justice Yvette McGee Brown was appointed to the task force by Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor on Sept. 30, and on Nov. 15 the group will meet for the first time.

More than 950 Applicants Pass July 2011 Ohio Bar Exam

The Supreme Court of Ohio Office of Bar Admissions released the results today of the July 2011 Ohio Bar Exam, which was administered in Columbus July 26 through July 28. Out of the 1,176 applicants who sat for the exam, 959 (81.6 percent) received passing scores; out of 1,080 first-time applicants, 86.1 percent received passing scores.
